Dog With 2 Different Colored Eyes – Spiritual Meanings:
It is about duality
“Duality is not a story. Duality is just a complexity.” – Edward Norton
On my spiritual journey, I have many times stumbled upon the law of duality.
Dualities like light/dark, good/evil and masculine/feminine.
When I think about how it perfectly reflects the duality of a dog I have who has one brown eye and one blue.
The light eye represents the sun or conscious mind.
The darker eye represents the moon, intuition or subconscious.
Based on my observations, animals are here to help us face our imbalances.
If a dog has heterochromia, this probably means there’s a dual nature within me on which I should be focusing on.
Finding balance in duality is about merging the two paths into a whole.
That duality is vital for spiritual evolution.
It is about spiritual vision
Every color of the eyes is an entire dimension of perception.
The light eye is physical sight, while the dark one signifies spiritual insight.
That dog is a bridge between these worlds.
This may be leading me to discover how I can see beyond what is simply material and physical.
Many people believe that some beings are born with the sight to see into other realms.
Maybe a dog with two different colored eyes is one such being.
The dog is perceiving the energies I do not notice.
Maybe I can learn a little about nature from being in this dog’s presence.
It is about the divine presence
“God is in the details.” – Ludwig Mies van der Rohe
Dogs with heterochromia are proof that God is near in everydayness.
Their unusual eyes are a warning to never forget the simplicity of life.
It is my job to dive down into the world and see where there are sacred warrants in everyday encounters.
I’m be able to see more of the Divine presence if I did not focus so much on the big picture. But the little things are precisely where I always see God most clearly.
Take a dog with two differently colored eyes, for instance.
They are seemingly random. However, they show the deep spiritual truths that govern all our lives.
God is in everything. This is something I keep on experiencing more intensely lately.
The existence of the ordinary and divine wakes me up to mindfulness.
These dogs possess eyes that are more than just special in a physical sense.
They represent some aspect of the divine plan and demand my recognition for all beauty to be discovered wherever I look.
It is about guidance
“The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life.” – Psalm 121:7
I always tended to think that animals are protected in some way.
I believe the same for heterochromia dogs.
Dogs have been respected for their protection traits.
A dog with two different colored eyes is just better able to see spiritual energies.
They are one of my favorite allies.
I cannot be grateful enough for having them by my side.
It is about the journey
“Not all those who wander are lost.” – J.R.R. Tolkien
An adventure is what the soul embarks upon.
The path of a journey that shines upon everything this life has to offer.
I feel that two parts of my soul are leading on the same road.
One eye is the past, and other is the future.
The dichotomy with my soul is the eyes of a dog.
They push me to respect my roots but accept that there are things I cannot predict
That is a strong spiritual message of the soul’s journey reflection to me.
I acknowledge the time before and prepare for what is ahead.
This way, I can walk a little more carefully through my spiritual journey.
It is about perception
“What you see and hear depends a good deal on where you are standing.” – C.S. Lewis
Perception plays such a big part in my life.
My perception of the world dictates my experiences. It also affects my spiritual evolution.
A dog with heterochromia is a parable for how I have experienced perception in my entire life.
My eyes are opened to different senses.
One may have more of a focus on the material parts of life, whereas the other about spirituality.
It seems a bit like being granted two perceptions instead of one.
It feels like such an incredible gift as I gain the ability to see the world in 360 degrees around me.
I have found that awareness precedes growth in my spiritual life.
When I am fully aware of the thoughts, deeper knowledge comes to me about my spiritual journey.
It is about the mystery
“The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.” – Albert Einstein
I do not know why dogs with two different colored eyes make me so curious.
Their eyes are full of hidden secrets.
They challenge me to reveal another curiosity about life.
Mystery is an invitation that can lead to greater insights.
When I accept mystery in my life, it brings new knowledge.
I am attuned to the grander pattern that is unfolding even when I cannot see it in its entirety.
When I look into the eyes of a dog with heterochromia, I sense mystery.
They draw me in to seek the unknown and wonder.
It is about the inner and outer worlds
“As above, so below, as within, so without, as the universe, so the soul…” – Hermes Trismegistus
My outer and inner worlds are connected.
It is almost as though an old soul has found a way to express how interconnected my internal and external life is by having a dog with two different colored eyes.
The lighter eye is a reflection of things that can be seen through the senses.
It’s a reference to this world.
Meanwhile, the darker one may be about what lives inside me.
When I see a dog with two different colored eyes, the world gives me a sign to look again at how well my inside corresponds intuitively on the outside.
